They scored 34 more points this season than last year. They gave up 94 less points on defense. We had the same regular season record and were more efficient on offense. They scored 1 more point, but we were much better on yards per play. We played a much tougher conference and had a much worse defense. And they had a lot of things go their way in the playoff run.
The real problem as mentioned is the suckazz defense and JRob/Vrabel not landing a decent DC. Expect more of same with the same coaching personnel.
your missing the fact that Tampa has a great defense. Titans defense was one of the worst in the league, swapping Brady and Tannenhill would not have solved the defensive problems.
Brady landed in the right situation for him, it wouldn't have had the same outcome had he signed with us. TB D is better OL was intact Gronk was huge for him when it mattered most
I have not read all the responses, but the answer is simply no. The difference in that game was the performance of the Tampa defense. They were unbelievable. It helped that KC had at least one starting OL out, maybe more. But with our pass rush, no way Mahomes is running for his life like he did yesterday. Offense would be good with Brady, but his lack of mobility might have been a problem with our turnstile LT. The reality is that TB had less injuries than us and a far better defensive roster than us. No way just swapping Brady for THill even gets us to the Super Bowl.
Brady has never had a great OLine, he makes up for it with precision timing. Its almost impossible to get to him in the 2.5 seconds he needs to throw the ball. Hed have been fine here if we wanted him, but we didnt.
He literally just had the best offensive line in football, that was one of the reasons he went to TB lol....new England always had pretty good olines too.
More times than not NE did not have a great line. Brady makes up for it cause hes just so good. Same thing with Seattle.
and like you said earlier. Brady gets rid of the ball super fast. You can call it dink and dunk, thats fine, but hard to sack someone who has the ball out of his hands in 2.3 seconds.
