He didn’t look all that great against scrubs either but, it just goes to show how desperate a fan base can be to hope their QB is finally the answer.

They will get “mettenberger is a starter” amount of desperate.

That kind of thinking has such side effects as “Antonio Andrews is a steal”, “chance warmack is not a piece of crap”, and “Andy Levitre was the best Guard.”

 

Yeah Conk seems better the little bit I’ve seen. Naturally it’s early, and we will find out come regular season, but I’m betting they rushed him back too soon.

 

Both in the same carry, against the jaguars anyway.

 

Still remember when people were screaming not to draft Marcus because they thought Mett was a franchise QB. Dude hasn’t even been on a roster in a few years lol.

 

Speaking for myself here, but I know there were others who shared the same sentiment, we rooted for Mett because we wanted Locker gone and didn't want to draft Mariota at 2, not because we thought he was anything special. We were going to suck that year regardless of who QB1 was.

 

Revisionist history.
I didn't want to draft a QB at 2, because there was not a qb worthy of a 2 pick. Might as well have kept crappy Mett until we could have gotten one of those fantastic qbs lighting up the league now.

But hey, we got Mariota, so who would want any of those other good qbs...
