Some money loss is worth it...
Kline was fine prior to this year. The contract made sense because it would have taken wo quite a bit more money to upgrade the position, or a high pick at least. But the zone scheme exposed his issues. Maybe if Amy hadn't forced Mularkey and his old ass scheme on us, we'd already have all of the players we need to run it.
Don't think anyone on here thought we'd not play Kline, let alone cut him.
At least not that I'm aware... I sure didn't think we'd do it.
Can someone tell me why our All-Pro RT Conklin can't stay at RT and move Kelly to RG?
I think Conklin was never healthy last year but he did not play well do to injury or whatever. Great that we have a guy like Kelly that can play multiple positions and play them well.
I called for this earlier in the offseaskn and would have no issue with it. Just havent seen the Titans lean in that direction at all. Pamphile played well last yr til he got injured but that spot is certainly penciled in.
Either way. I just know Kelly played Damn good at RT last year and Conklin didn't. I guess it really depends if Conklin has fully recovered and if he's gonna return to his all pro form.
Also, Kelly is 6'8. Thats tall af for a guard lol.
100%. hope it goes to someone more productive on the field, which shouldn't be hard
Lol good points...I think Conklin can be an all-pro RT and want him to get better at it an excel at it. But the height of Kelly could be an issue.
Pamphile played really well in spot use last year. I could DEFINITELY see this as a three way race for the C and RG spots between Jones, Grasu and Pamphile. May the best two win!
