if we draft a wr in the 3-5 range we should cut mariani....for one--kick return is worthless now that nfl is sissyfied and we have `few returns...second--he is no game breaker on punt return and third--he hasnt shown me much as a wr or even shown enough to the coaches to get that chance...and hawkins is most likely a 5th wr as cook is the 4th

Cook might be the forth option in 3 WR sets as a te but still rotating Hawkins in wouldn't hurt. It's probably best to keep him in the mix and use to the offense while giving Washington some extra plays off if he is still hobbled.

NFL teams don't create their defensive schemes based on depth charts. They put their best defenders on the best players. This is a pretty wacky suggestion. Teams aren't going to start ignoring Britt because the Titans gave him a completely meaningless label.

That's not what I'm saying. Put Nate, Garcon/Wayne and Kenny out there and defenses would have to pick their poison.

I'd rather spend money on the defensive side of the ball. We don't really pass the ball enough to have all of those receivers, it would be nice but we have more pressing issues imo.

That's not what you said. You said that Britt wouldn't be the other team's main focus. I'm saying he still would be. Until the Titans sign Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald, Britt will be treated as the Titans' biggest threat.

The argument of whether adding a third WR to the Titans would help the offense is something entirely different. I'm sure everyone in the world would agree that adding another weapon would only be a good thing.

I am pretty excited where we are with WR already.

Maybe draft a top WR in a year or two, depending on how the WRs we have show up this year.

Sorry, if the Niners had a punt returner, they would have been in the superbowl.
