The Titans have had problems tackling running backs of all shapes and sizes this season, but next they will try to slow down bullish Rashad Jennings of the Raiders.

“He looks like another 27 that used to play here,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said in reference to franchise all-time leading rusher Eddie George. “He had an 80-yard run (against the Texans last week). I didn’t know he had that kind of speed when he got loose, but he ran over the safety. It should have been a four-yard gain, but he ran him right over. … He’s a physical back.”

The 6-foot-1, 231-pound Jennings, formerly with the Jaguars, ran for 150 yards against the Texans. He leads the league in yards after contact — 3.2 yards after initial hit.

Said Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray: “Trust me, it is going to take more than one guy to get him down. He is a big man.”

The Titans allowed the Colts to rush for 137 yards last week, and allowed 150 rushing yards or more in three of the four previous weeks.

I think it was Rashad Jennings who took a wildcat snap 80-yards for a TD, so this kid can get going in open space. He's not just a big guy, he's a big play maker at times.

I'm sorry, but Jennings plays or looks nothing like Eddie George.

Helmets off youre right, total opposites almost.

But in pads they do look kinda alike. Both sport the #27, both over 230, bot run behind their pads. They're similar, but thats it.

I was more talking about with the pads. Their games are nothing alike in my opinion. Jennings reminds me more of Ahmad Bradshaw more than anyone else.

If Rashad Jennings is considered a bruising back there's something wrong with the NFL.

Yup, we could be in for a long day if Jennings can get by the 1st level.

He could very well be a bruising back against the Titans though... not that that says much.

I am shocked our defense is still top 10. It's been total poop recently.

Any back that runs against us is a bruising back.
