    when names like Blanda, Campbell and Jeffries are mentioned I really don't feel any association with them. It just feels awkward

    maybe it's a little different then the Colts / Ravens / Browns scenario

    The Oilers are dead. I am sorry that Y'all can't understand that. They belong to the city of Houston, but no the Texans don't want their history. We intend to be Super Bowl champions far more quickly than that 2nd rate franchise.



    P.S. mods you might as well move this thread BEFORE the flame war starts.

    part of me feels like the team moniker and uniforms should have changed when the team changed city's. Tennessee Oilers did not make sense in any way to me
    might have been easy to adopt an Eagle or a Falcon or even a Cowboy
    but it just didn feel right adopting an Oiler
