Titans interviewing Mike Vrabel

Did you see the defensive unit they have? Not number one unit.

 

Vrabel is intriguing as he fits the profile of a “leader of men”. To me he seems like a guy who would be a CEO type and surround himself with quality coaches who he lets, for the most part, do their jobs. His potential relationship with Robinson would be HUGE. A common vision for how they want the Titans to be. Not some guy who has been there and like Mularkey is “locked in” to his way of thinking. The more I hear about him, the more I like him. Not all great coordinators make great head coaches.

 

Been trying to do some research on some of these candidates. I've concluded this on Vrabel: if this team liked Mularkey, they're gonna ****ing love Vrabel.

 

Whats the fascination with this guy?

 

So far, all the head coaches that we've had named Mike have failed. Not sure I want another Mike

When it was first announced he was interviewing, this was my reaction. I was very perplexed that he was even being mentioned. However, the more I read about him, the more I think he's the fit. I think we need a HC that will let the OC do their jobs and he can manage the rest. The following article sold me on him:

Interesting read. The key for me re Vrabel (assuming JRob thinks he is the right fit) will be who his OC/DC are.
