it was tied to whether FLIP would look at the hire and think twice. - topic for discussion.... We continue to post in the Bettcher thread, so seems applicable..

 

A down year for an offense after several good ones and suddenly people think the coaches have been teaching the players to suck. Lol

People put way too much on coaches shoulders, IMO. Sometimes, the students don't do great even with a great teacher. Sometimes, bad teachers still have great students...Too many variables to put blame on 1 guy.

PS- I'm not defending the guy, because I honestly know nothing about him.

I wanted to do that a couple of times.

 

We don't need any coach bringing in a bunch of his friends. Vrabel is trying to get the best guys he can to fill each coaching position. It doesn't matter what order these guys are brought in as long as they'r brought in. If we were to wait on hiring position coaches, then we'd probably miss out on some guys we want. I think the oc and dc hires are taking more time because we'r looking at hiring off of one of these sb staffs (hopefully flip) and/or talking a guy out of retirement (hopefully pees)

 

all coaches hire their buds, thats just how it goes

and Vrabel is full of it, all he has is his old friends

 

Wich “some” students were great under Mularkey or Jack Del Rio this year?

 

The OC was new this year. The entire offense took a massive step backwards, so it's safe to say that he likely has more to do with it than the WR coach.
