    The man survived 4 coaching changes for a reason, he clearly knows the game and what Vrabel wants. Flashy hire ? Not at all but I’m willing to give the guy a chance.

    They were just saying on the radio that he plans to implement part of the power running scheme that was used in the past, as well as part of the zone blocking scheme that worked as well. It wouldn't surprise me for him to pull the best ideas from Whis, Robiskie, Mularkey, and LaFleur and merge it all into one play book. He's been around long enough to see what worked with each individual offense, and could possibly take the good and leave the bad. That part is exciting.

    You might not remember it but back when they were saying the Titans were for sale after Bud died. Fred Smith was mentioned as a potential suitor.

    I don't mind this at all.

    There are position coaches that rise to be great OCs all the time, maybe Smith is the next one. He has plenty of accolades from players and sports guys and I trust JRob to know what he is doing. He has improved the team incrementally each year.

    We got our "flashy" OC hire last year and it turned out very "meh". I actually like the idea of a guy who knows the team, knows the players and brings in a fresh mind.
