The fact that the Titans allowed the Packers too sign both Zadarius smith and preston smith must mean they plan to address it during the draft. Not bit on Matthews, Morgan or Houston coming here...all are on the wrong side of 30 and have lost a step.

 

I could see us signing a solid veteran as depth (Aaron Lynch, Vinny Curry, Barret, or Ray) so we have options and aren't forced to take edge at #19.

JRob likes to have holes filled prior to the draft so he can just go with his board and not force things. I don't see that changing.

 

Assuming we’re going DE / OLB in the draft now I hope Jrob doesn’t ‘use’ too many picks moving around. He has a history of jumping around costing us quite a lot of capital. Last year only had 4 picks. Spent a lot of capital to get Conklin previously etc. I like the guys we got last year but just an observation.

 

I think he also moved up to take jayon brown.

 

Also makes me scratch my head when GMs are like ‘no we couldn’t possibly trade our 3rd round pick for this proven nfl elite superstar’ but hell we’ll trade our 3rd rounder in a heartbeat to move up 11 spots in the draft for some total lottery selection lol

 

rookies are much cheaper than proven vets

 

Used capital for Conklin after trading out of their original spot and gaining draft capital. Not really the same thing. And Conklin was a fantastic pick anyways.

 

Ugh it’s not like the Titans “allwed” anyone to go anywhere or sign anyone. It’s not like we have a choice.
I know you didn’t mean it that way, so I’m not calling you out per se.
