Titans @ Chiefs Postgame Thread

Browns win/Bills lose
Jags will probably win.

What does that do for our playoff chances? Also if Pittsburgh lose, they are tied with Cleveland and a game in front of us, what is our tiebreaker like against the Steelers?

 

I am dying to know: can we pass Pittsburgh?

That is the only way for us to get in the playoffs, right?

 

We can still pass the Brownies and/or Pittsburgh and/or the Jaguars.

The Browns are the best option. However, the Browns must lose to the Bengals. If they do, we control our own destiny in the playoffs by winning out. If they win, our only hope is for the Steelers to drop both games and we pass them as Cleveland would be in.

The Steelers have two games coming up they could lose. St. Louis actually has some talent and can be a playoff type team. And Baltimore has good days and bad days. Pittsburgh could lose both. Especially if Troy Smith plays and gives Baltimore a much needed shot in the arm.

The Jaguars have Oakland, who also has a young stud under center, and then they play Houston, who has some good days and some bad days even with the 2nd string qb playing.

 

I honestly believe the Bengals are better than the Browns too. But this late in the season, you jut don't know how much heart the Bengals have left. Nor how much fight, but you got to believe they want nothing more than to knock the Browns out.

 

Nice win today. All we can do is keep winning, we can't worry what other teams are doing.

Titans Playoff Hopes Stay Alive with 26-17 Win Over Chiefs

SUMMARY: Despite being down at the half, the Tennessee Titans fought back and kept their playoff changes alive with a 26-17 win over the Chiefs. For the first time since October 28, Vince Young did not have an interception going 16-for-26 for 191 yards with two touchdowns and a 109.6 passer rating. LenDale White ended the day with 93 yards on the ground with Chris Brown adding another 23. Roydell Williams led Titans receivers with 94 yards including two touchdowns. The Titans defense, though struggling much of the first half, held the Chiefs to three points in the second half despite limited play of Albert Haynesworth. Both Michael Griffin and David Thornton had second half interceptions.

Glad we won this game because we would have been playing down to KC's level if we lost. Imagine the angry posts then.

 

Good day for Vince. Rating of 110. It would have been much higher with the 3rd TD pass that was called back because of the phantom holding call on Roos....oh well...he'll still have his haters.
