Titans and Eagles in talks with Saints for Brandin Cooks

One scenario on compensation for Cooks has the Titans simply trading their first-round pick (No. 17 overall) for the receiver, who was the Saints' 20th pick in the first round of the 2014 draft. Another scenario, per sources, has the two teams swapping slots in the first round, involving the Titans moving from the No. 5 pick (acquired from the Rams) to the Saints' 18th pick, with another pick or two also in play.​

That would be disappointing to me. I'd rather pass if it uses one of our first round picks. I've also been very clear that I don't think either of our 1sts should be used on a WR or anything offensive regardless who's available. The D needs the help.

 

i really hope we dont give up the 18th pick for him, i know he's a former first rounder but still. Maybe a 3rd this year and another pick next year like a 2nd. He is still on his rookie contract, only due to make 1.56 mil next year plus a 5th year option could be picked up, so he has a very favorable contract.

 

I wouldn't mind swapping #5 pick with the Saints and them giving us their 2nd round pick lol

 

I'd assume multiple picks will be involved in some way...
Cooks & 1(11) for 1(5) and 5(20)
Cooks & 2(10) for 1(18) and 3(36)
Cooks for 3(19) and 4(18)

I'd be ok with any of these options but would not give up either 1st rounder straight up.

 

Cooks also makes me nervous because of his BS about "not getting utilized enough" when his team racks up a season high 49 points. That screams not a "team" guy.

Id probably do it for 18th pick, Cooks speed really opens things up underneath for us where Walker and Murray do their best work at...
