    Top 5 D
    Top 10 rb
    Good special teams
    Good talent/depth at receiver/te
    Above average line (with lewan)

Even with mariota being as mediocre as he is, this team should be able to win 10 games and the division. However if we get coaching like we did yesterday we're going to continue underachieving and miss the playoffs, but not completely bottom out.

Back foot or just not moving his feet at all. He hardly ever steps into the throw it seems.

Of course, what we're not considering is we had a "rookie" OC... not shocked he's had a great game and a poor one.

    But... Vrabel should step in.

Pretty sure Lafleur had the occasional great game and the occasional wtf game.

4 games in, we'll have a good idea of what we've got.

Shoot if the defense doesn’t give up 7 third down conversions we probably win. Or make the FG. So many things to look back on.

Lots of things we didn’t do well on Sunday and Marcus’ play was definitely a big part of that.

We will find out where the coaches stand with Marcus this week. If he’s hurt and he still plays - they still believe in him. This would be an easy way to weed him out.

It was the hottest game to ever take place in that stadium, the offense couldn't convert a first down and just committed another 3 and out prior to that run. They were probably on the verge of heat exhaustion at that point

I don’t think it was that bad. 4 n 2 was very manageable right on the cusp of FG range. If anything, the play on 4th was good but the throw was bad and he had an open Davis on the other side.

He completes that pass, no one thinks twice about the spike.
I really don’t mind the clock stop to get a good play call on 4th, which they did.

    Missed tackles.

On Brissett and on 3rd downs. Both were killers as well.

That’s crappy since the colts also had the same conditions without practicing in such high heat.

Our inconsistency was across the entire team (all 3 units anyway) and the coaching staff.

While the D is our most talented unit with an excellent DC, we kept giving up 3rd and forevers to let them keep going. We inexplicably missed about 6 sacks on JacobyB! We missed a bunch of tackles and missed another INT! We also were very inconsistent tackling in the run game and one a few plays, our run fits were atrocious. We got lucky one was called back but the last one killed us!

Brown has got to learn to take on Blockers better!

Pees didn't dial up too many pressure blitzes and for too many dropbacks, JacobyB had all day to throw.

On offense, Smith had an inconsistent day calling plays. Some were good but some left you scratching your head. We found a personel grouping and lead back pitch play to Henry that was churning out yards...and then we just abandon it for a while??? Marcus looked out of sorts later in the game. Get him some easy throws to get his rhythm back. Why are we running DW under 5 yards in 2min with no timeouts in the middle of the field. Why isn't he screaming into Mariota's ear to run a play on 3rd and short instead of letting Marcus clock it? I suspect these were some growing pains for Smith today.

Mariota had one of his worst games though the stats won't tell that story. He got more pressure than we expected and didn't get a lot of help from a few drops from the wr's...some other questionable wr play (Sharpe not diving for the first down and running backwards) but he's got to throw the ball away and be smart with the football.

Why aren't we pounding the rock more? Lewis should only be coming in to give Henry a breather or to run a specific play (screen or passing play)...not match him in snaps! Henry is a workhouse, they need to ride him!!!

The OL needs to play better, the receivers have to get open and catch the d&mn

    ball.

We had 154 yards passing. Blaine Gabbert threw for more yardage against Indy last year without Walker, Humphries, or Brown. You cannot continue to throw the receivers under the bus after a performance like that from the QB.
