The Titans will NOT draft a QB

I have no reason to think Young will work out and I don't think we need to wait around forever we have to get on with this franchise sometime. It's not hate if it's true, Young can't play, plain and simple.

A very average QB in Collins did fine with the receivers, imagine if we had a GOOD QB. I agree our receivers need upgrading but doesn't look like were going to do that.

 

Imagine what any average QB could do with a WR weapon.



Personally, I like Sanchez somewhat. But I don't see him as a Flacco/Ryan success story. I think he'd need a year to learn. So I'm not sure drafting any QB will change or benefit the team much in 2009. I'm positive one won't without a WR.

 

True, I guess I just lost it because I read pretty much the exact same statement from Eddy in 3 threads.

 

Well no drafting a QB wouldn't help this year but that's the idea, get ready for 2010. We can still win it all next year without an impact player in the first round, that is, if we can upgrade our receivers in free agency and maybe grab a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round.

 

Round 1 - Harvin/Maclin/Heyward-Bey iffy on bey
Round 2 - Nate Davis from Ball State please

 

if we don't draft a QB or re-sign Collins, we can forget about any 13-3 seasons for a bit

Vince Young is not the answer
Chris Simms is not the answer

come to think of it, Kerry Collins is not the answer either

 

I would be surprised is Heywerd-Bey would still be available by the time we get on the clock on pick 30. I almost guarantee that Maclin would already be taken.

I'd love to have either Harvin or Heywerd-Bey. I think Harvin would be more reasonable since I think Heywerd-Bey will already be taken.

 

Gotta dissagree with you on that one. Collins gave us hope and enough hope to get us a 1st round bye. We lost our first game in the playoffs, but it wasn't Collins who screwed that up.
