it's pretty true. When Sarkisian took over at UDub and after his injury Locker hardly ran in college unless it was a designed run. He always tries to throw first which is good for the NFL but sometimes Locker does despite having a good running lane

If only it were that easy. But there are people on these boards with half a brain.
The fact is that he does take off from time to time. It's the THREAT of him running that softens up a defense. You better believe that Palmer is going to have a couple of designed QB runs in his play book, and he's going to use the same looks for CJ.

The tactical nature some people just don't realize.

CJ doesn't have to run for 200 yards a game to be a threat. One touch for 40-50 yards will put defenses on their heels.

Locker doesn't have to run every other play to make the defense realize they need to spy him consistently so that they don't give up free yards. Thus opening up other plays.

Once you start developing plays with the same formation to confuse the defense, it's all game.

If Locker has a great game Thursday, will people's opinion change...especially to those who dislike him?

Hasselbeck's experience and him mentoring Locker is worth us not trading him alone. I'm sure the pointers and his input for Jake will be more valueable than any draft pick we could possibly obtain.

All good points. Keep MH to help with Locker...Locker has all the skills and tools but lacks experience...thats something Hass will help JL with.

I think Munchak said the other day he would like to see Hass stay for 3 more years to mentor Locker. We all know Rusty ain't got much much hidden under his thinking cap.

depends on the cost. Did we give MH a 2, or was it a 3 year deal when we signed him?
