I think there's something to that for the offense. Doesn't address the other two units, though.

 

They threw 2 interceptions in the end zone.

 

Yes. One you could say was a mistake. Other was a tipped defensive pass we forced. Which kept us in the game. But we had plenty of mistakes that kept us from putting up points in the first half.

my point was slow starts wouldnt kill us if we get that fg or dont give up a 90 yard int return in first half.

 

You said Texans were near mistake free. 2 RZ int is not mistake free.

I think you’re also overlooking the fake punt instead of trying a makable (with a real kicker) 55 yard FG.

 

Near mistake free isnt mistake free. Penalties didnt cost them. Missed fgs didnt cost them. They extended drives. Scored in redzone. Much more mistake free than us.

 

The Titans slow starts are almost always the result of some self-inflicted wounds. For example, earlier in the season it was the incredible amount of offensive penalties leading to 2nd 20 and 3rd and longs. Other times it has been turnovers and others it has been poor execution with our kickers. Just been a combination of crap this year.
