Fulmer lost most years to Florida but not Bama. He was 11-5 against Bama.
UT fans had Chavis also...seem to remember them calling his "wavy Chavy" when he "less than championship" talent.
Yes, but that was also when bama was struggling...how many coaches did they have during that period.
I never had a problem with Chavis. Probably one of the best defensive minds in the conference along with Saban.
He left here and succeeded at LSU and left them because he was offered more money for the same job at A&M.
Excellent defensive coach.
Yes but that is irrelevant. You claimed Fulmer lost to Bama most years which is completely inaccurate. He won twice as much as he lost to Bama.
They went through a few but at least had nuts enough to run them when they didn't meet the Alabama standard.
Coach worship doesn't exist here unless it is earned. They respect the man, not the position.
How has that worked out at A&M????
I don't think I know anyone that has "coach worship" over jones. I just think some fans...YOU, are a little quick to judge him given where the program was before he arrived. Like I have said...if next season, when his stars will be juniors, we are still talking about close but L's then fine.
He won 1 CFB championship....a couple of SEC championships.....look I respect what he did...but his last 5 years he fell off big time...particularly recruiting, which after all is what builds and maintains CFB programs.
He hasn't put his system in place. It is year one.
A&M hasn't been a defensive team, they will have to find the players.
He wasn't run from LSU. He was just fine, got frustrated with Les and A&M offered more money.
