Unfortunately Bruce will fall into the "also elected....." category.

    What a shame.

BTW: Did I mention that Chris Berman is a fat ***?

Irving better be careful putting on that yellow blazer cause his shrunken spine might need special consideration.

How do you figure? in five or ten years how many people do you think will remember which players were in the HOF class of 2007? once your in, there's little value attatched to the year in which you were inducted (to the average fan) I think it's great that Bruce is a first ballot HOFer, that's what people will remember, not that he was 'overshadowed' by Michael Irvin, which is an arguable point in itself.

Who said anything about five or ten years down the road??? I specifically referred to the "ceremony". Irvin works for ESPN and fatso Chris Berman. They've got 6 months to turn it into his day. I fully expect them to do it.

Even if Irvin didn't work for ESPN, he's still the biggest name to get in this year, like it or not.

Frankly, Bruce is probably happy having some of the attention deflected off him. Nothing will change the fact that the guy is a first ballot HOFer.

I'm interested to see who will be inducting him, Clay or Munch.

    Phi slamma..

What is it about that 2nd baseball class that you like? Seems rather ordinary. I didn't think cepeda deserved to be in and ryan is way over rated with 292 career losses.

My favorite baseball HOF class is the one with joe jackson.

    Nolan Ryan was overated??:suspect:

292 losses for crappy teams over a time span of 27 seasons... Not saying he's the best or anything but certainly a worthy Hall of Famer.
