None. Keeping me from being a hypocrite.

I didn't "make it my mission". I try to fill people in on global issues. Many people have never heard of because they only watch American news. I'm not trying to be a world-saver. Doesn't move me that way, but I do care as much about strangers equally.

    Awesome. Way to go.

Why do I not seem to care? Because I can make logical judgment by correcting those that link behavior with victims of a much worse storm? I expressed that I feel bad for people affected as much as anyone else here.
Guess one argument makes people jump the gun. Who knows...

I never said it isn't "ok" to help locally. However many people simply don't CARE about any other area outside the borders they know. That's a harsh truth. And in this instance, you actually have Nashvillians that were just part of a tragic storm insulting those that were in a worse storm. How does that work? Not the best time for y 'we're better than you' attitudes while hoping people to see the problems at hand.

Yeah, it's definitely this ONE argument that's made people react to you this way. Or maybe, it has something to do with a lot of your arguments...

I think you'd be surprised about how few people don't "care" about other places. You'd be surprised how many of those people donate money or something else to causes that aren't down the street. Of course, you don't think that they do, because of your cynicism/narcissism.

I agree that some of the "we started helping, not looting" is a false comparison. That being said, not everyone is saying it, and a lot of those that do are the people that just lost a lot, so I'm not going to judge them for venting however they need/want to vent.

I'm sure it's a lot easier from up on your high horse though.

Scary. That Pep Boys is only a little over a mile from my house. I had reservations for brunch at Miel that Sunday morning, but they closed because of that very flooding. According to the time on that video, I was there about twenty minutes before the glass broke. Crazy. It was only up to the bottom of the windows when I saw it.

That pep-boys video is crazy. I like how the computer on the left woke-up from sleep mode. And they somehow stayed powered on.

And I do pitch in to help. Not going to claim I do a lot, but at least I'm not one of the many doing it just to say I am then writing it off on taxes.
