Yeah, true. He didn’t have a good opportunity either. Sad this is looking like it will have a similar ending. Gosh how else do you run a franchise into the ground when you have one first round draft pick QB (Vince Young) fizzle out after a few years then another first rounder (Jake Locker) RETIRE based off the injuries he received playing for us and then YET ANOTHER first round SECOND PICK goes through five OC’s, no o line protection and is probably going to bow out of the league knowing if only he had a stable team with an actual offensive line maybe just maybe he could have been great. SMDH I feel so freakin bad for the guy and us fans who’ve had to put up with this negativity and hopelessness of thinking McNair will be our only true great QB we’ll ever witness as a Titan.
WORST OLINE in the NFL....I have hope that when the DRUG USER gets back after next week miracles will happen. Also, the d line is horrific also...sort of quick FAT guy blows.
He had some of the best protection in the league when we were trying to be run heavy and keep the pressure off of him. We get two OCs who we hope can help us pass the ball more and put more on the QB's plate, and it backfires. People act as if he was treated like Josh Rosen. The FO has done everything they can to help him.
PLAY action offense ONLY works if the LINE and the RUN game are working.
Whole team has issues, so plenty of blame to go around, but Mariota looked lost. Beyond bad. All I know is we keep trying to improve the offense and it sputters. Different OC’s, players, etc. After 5 years, you have to look his way....
Mariota sucked against the Colts. Held the ball too long, etc....
Last night was on the o-line. He basically never had time and when the pocket collapses from all sides you have no where to go. You can’t even step up in the pocket.
He missed a couple of throws....all QBs do in games. Sharpe looks to have run the wrong route, Henry dropped a screen again, no separation from our receivers,
There is no one to throw to when everyone has to stay in to chip on blocks.
And....for the second time in a row we got out coached.
Cracks in the armor of Captain Arrogance John Robinson showing now.
The Offensive line is a sheet show. J Douglas didn’t lay a hand on anyone all night, Saffold sucks, there were times when I didn’t know what the hell Ben Jones was doing. I hope at the end of season Mary say f this and retires
I watched the highlights, and they were set up to fail. Multiple 2nd and 3rd and longs which generally invite a ton of pressure and a QB who holds the ball too long and drifts into pressure.
Yep and penalties, especially early did not help. Plenty of sacks to review for the blame game this week. Some were on MM, some were on the OL.
