Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson has been fined $42,000 for his clear hit to the head of Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright last Sunday, according to The Houston Chronicle.

Jackson was penalized for unnecessary roughness on the hit, which helped the Titans move downfield on what would eventually become a 99-yard touchdown drive.

The fine amount was the same amount levied against Titans safety Bernard Pollard, who was fined for a sideline hit on Houston wide receiver Andre Johnson. Pollard appeared to lead with his shoulder on the play, but may have made contact with Johnson’s helmet. Johnson suffered a concussion on the play and did not return to the game.

    Should have been more.

This wasn't a case of the receiver ducking his head and the defender not being able to adjust. This was a good old fashion launching and aiming for the head.
