TE Shiancoe excited about latest chance

    With injuries to Delanie Walker and Craig Stevens, the Titans added tight end Visanthe Shiancoe to the roster on Tuesday.

    The 11-year NFL veteran practiced with the team on Wednesday, but remains unsure whether he’ll be needed on Sunday. It depends on the condition of Walker and Stevens, who are both dealing with concussions.

    But he said he’s glad to be on an NFL roster again. Shiancoe was released by Baltimore back in August, and in recent months he’d been working out in the Washington, D.C., area.

    “Sometimes you have to go off a little bit and laugh out loud and find yourself,’’ said Shiancoe, who has played with the Patriots, Vikings and Giants in his career. “Your best friend is yourself, right?

    “I am glad to be with the Titans.”

    Hopefully he isnt needed. Walker needs to get right asap, Thompson can't catch.

    I dont remember too many catchable balls thrown his way. Not trying to defend him necessarily but I think it was more on fitz last game.

    Its a bit of both

    I called Thompson taking 3 full years to develop. He shouldn't be playing yet. Actually, while he's still learning TE he shouldn't even be on a 53-man roster. but thats a whole other issue all together.
