just saying Lewan is a premier player now, he doesnt need to piggyback off some Guard..

I usually dont like holdouts but this one doesnt bug me.

I'm either biased or getting used to the fact that this stuff just happens.

 

It's just part of the business. It would be an issue in college or HS ball.

 

It's a nice change to have good enough players where these situations happen. Who was the last to hold out, CJ? There was a stretch where drafting was so bad we weren't even bothering giving second contracts, let alone guys being good enough to justify holding out.

It's a business, and I'm fine with it. A deal will get done and Lewan will be locked up long term. JR was saving space for this, and he's one of the best LT's in the league. He'll get his $$$.

I don't have a big problem with it but honouring your contract and working out a deal while with your teammates is a part of the business as well

This contract was negotiated before he entered the league. Unfair to have the CBA be written for you before you even get a chance to know what team you are playing for.

 

Was it better when the top players got $50M before they ever played a down?
