Don't get one. If you do you'll just sit around having an awesome time playing videos all day.
Works for me. Have a Wii for a similar reason.
What are you a child?
No I'm not a child. Whew, thanks for reminding me! You really saved me from making a huge mistake!
Any recommendations for a more grown up VIDEO GAME console? Thanks in advance.
The Wii U is great. Can't go wrong with Mario, Donkey Kong, Super Smash Bros and Zelda.
I have a PS4 as well. I play sports games and FPS along with some exclusives on it and the other media options, but the Wii U has more than earned it's place in my entertainment center.
Isn't Zelda the 30 hour epic you no longer have time for?
Anyway, those games are pretty rare nowadays.
But there's no reason not to get one.
It just takes six months to beat it now instead of three days like when we were 15.
I'm playing Starcraft II right now. Have been for over a month. I'm not even close to finishing it. I used to come home from school and play the first one for five hours then go to bed. Not anymore
I would buy a PS4 so you can have your Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go (soon), YouTube, music, etc etc all in one place and then just buy a used Wii U down the road. Sounds like you want a Wii U for nostalgic reasons while the PS4 is the best console.
Wii U has all of that too, and in fact, I prefer using the Wii U (over the Xbox One) for Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc. due to the fact that I can use the touch pad to navigate them.
Only thing it can't do is play Blu-Rays.
