Surprise...Hoge predicts Titans most disappointing team for 2008

    Saw this on ESPN earlier today. Big surprise huh?

    On the flipside, he did name Chris Johnson as one of his "surprising rookies" for 2008.

    Last night on Sportscenter they did the "over or under" segment. The Vegas total for Titans wins is 8 (heavy juice on the under, meaning everyone who is betting is taking the under).

    Forgot who was doing the show, but one guy took under and the other said they'd win exactly 8 games. Guys, we are a mediocre team. We need to embrace it, get your hopes up for the playoffs and have your dreams and livelihood shattered!!! I do not exaggerate at all, huh?! 8-8 here the Titans come

    Nate...you must lead a mundane boring life with no hope. That is the good thing about being 0-0, everyone has the chance to be this years Giants, or a few years ago Panthers......It is the NFL and anything can happen. Take your sorrow, mediocre attitude else where.......

    This is starting to get agitating. Since when do Vegas and ESPN have ANY effect on our overall record? These are the same guys that predict Arizona to be good EVERY year. Come on, man. I can understand if you have some kind of basis for your argument. But you just used the "because ESPN/Vegas said so" argument!

    Ugh...I'm just gonna stop. I'm wasting my time arguing about this. Enjoy your ESPN ignorance!

    James Hasty, Eric Allen and Cris Carter all said the Titans wouldn't win as many games as they did last year too. I have yet to hear of anyone with the Titans as Super Bowl Favorites, so I'll play the pessimist game and be extremely happy with a playoff entry.
