Suck Failure

Yesterday was a big day. I'm betting most of the teams that had a surprisingly weak showing, but managed to survive, come out hard in the second round and cruise to the sweet sixteen.

 

Ohio the Giant Killer

 

I started out as a Vandy fan many years ago after moving to Nashville. Went to a number of football games and have followed them in basketball and even some baseball.

Vandy is very consistent. Consistently a huge let down. They are like being a Cub fan (which unfortunately I have been most of my life). They will tease you into thinking this is the year so often and then bam, they suck when it counts. Even the baseball team looked like they had what it takes to go far a few years ago but yes, as soon as you get on the bandwagon bam....let down.

I saw football games where their kicker had the equivalent of an extra point to win a game only to miss the dang kick. Some of you probably remember the LSU game years ago where all they needed was a chip shot FG to win but decided to punch it in the endzone from the one yard line and Cory Harris coughed up the ball. So letting me down is par for the course. Go Vols!

I think Vandy needs to get someone in the middle that is more agressive. Ogilvy(sp) is a decent player, but is soft and tends to disappear. If they had some real bangers in the middle...
