so I caught this little snake and I can't determine for sure what it is

    I hate snakes!!!
    but they do serve a purpose by eating rodents and other small things that could be annoying to have around.

    I hate mice too, but I'd rather take my chances with a mouse than a snake.

    so forget all that "they help with rodents" nonsense. We need more Hawks and Eagles for snakes.

    actually, we wanted to... that is until we read it's unlawful to keep native snakes captive because of their importance in the environment. Also, I figure it would probably end up dying anyways.. you know, longing to be set free... needless to say we turned the little guy loose in the backyard.
