Should I watch Argo?

It is very nicely done.

I wouldn't buy it but it's a good Redbox option.

 

The Oscars are as dumb as the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame..
The "best" rarely wins...
Argo is a well-done and important story. Worthy of watching for sure but not something I need to see again any time soon.

Django was visual cinematic epic-ness. Visually, I said. Whoever the DP of that film was is pure greatness..
Beyond that it was another botched attempt by Quentin to pick Sergio Leone's bones dry.
But he never learns the key. TALK LESS! Too much freaking, stupid-ass blather.
These movies work best when the characters shut their mouths. A wink, the twist of a chewed up cigar etc is what made Leone's characters lovable. And furthermore, if you have a collection of great music - learn where to "place" it... This is an art - QT is clueless in that regard.

Ya know why I'm certain The Oscars are a joke??
Because Morricone, the greatest score composer of all time, has never won...

 

Looks like Robert Richardson was DP.. His body of work is impressive - with a buttload of films that looked far more impressive than the actual films were.
