Sheftner Reports Stallworth Visiting Tenn

Before we signed Henry we knew that he could be a 1,000 yard back. But Stallworth really hasn't done anything in his career. The most games he's played in one year was 13.

 

not true, he played 16 in '04 and '05.

 

Jeff, here is something from the Denver Post this morning:

"The Denver Post reports new Broncos RB Travis Henry will rotate out of the NFL's substance abuse program after the third game of the 2007 season if he doesn't have any drug violations. If he does have a violation before then, Henry would be suspended for the entire season. Players rotate out of the program after two seasons if they don't have any further violations. Henry was suspended four games in 2005, his first season with the Tennessee Titans, after testing positive for marijuana."

That also explains it wasn't all about the "one strike" thing with Henry not getting payed a boat load of cash. It probably had to do more with Chow loving White & confident he can carry the load next year as our starter. He & Fish might have convinced the FO not pay the extra 4 mil for Henry knowing the combo of White & Hall can be very good.

Back to Stallworth though. If he doesn't want money through the roof, i'd be all for signing him...

 

Just because he is out of the drug program doesn't mean he isn't tested anymore and isn't still 1 strike away from a 1-year ban. It just means he isn't tested as often...

I might not know much about Stallworth's past injuries since i don't really make it a habit to check on how many games every NFL player misses every year due to injuries, however looking at Stallworth's stats.. it appears that he plays on average 13.5 games per year. Thats not bad. I'm surprised that so many posts are directed towards his injuries.
