Sharif Finch Should Start

Very little snap count. I believe that’s why OP said he would like to see him get more snaps.

That’s the only way to find out. He’s been very good in run support and has flashes as a pass rusher.

At worst he’s already shown to be very good depth which is already awesome value for a UDFA.

 

He needs more pt for sure, but doesn't need to start, imo. I like the idea of having rak and morgan in on run downs and landry and finch in on passing downs. Keep them all fresh and utilize thier strengths at this point in their careers.

 

nobody thought Jayon would be a full time starter either yet here we are.

 

Finch is slowly earning more and more snaps. 14 plays week-13, 17 last week.

 

He's been a great find thus far, and will continue to see more snaps as rotating depth. I don't think he needs to be a starter this year barring injury, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be seeing 50% or so.

Compared to a year ago, this is a very young and talented LB group. We all knew it needed an overhaul, but it has happened quicker and more successfully than I expected. Sure Dodd was a bad pick, no way around that now. But Brown has become a solid young starter, Landry and Evans are both looking great and flash big skills, and Finch has been a very good find. 1 more top quality guy would complete this group IMO.

This is huge considering we have a number of holes at OL, and we could use DL as well. I think at this point I''d like to see the best DL selected with our 1st, and then OC and OG with the 2nd and 3rd. I don't care which pick on which position, you go BPA based on your board at that point. If this team could fix the trenches, next year could be a big year.

 

Hes been steadily getting more and more reps. I dont see any problem with continuing to do that the rest of the year. Glad to have him.

Ive enjoyed every day of Brown being here since he stepped off the plane in 2017.

If he played on a better team in college theres no way he goes in the 5th round. Jayon has been fantastic in the NFL.
