The league probably thought...one hand tweener from a small school...probably doesn't get drafted.

But the kid can play. He can rush the passer very well, tackle, isn't bad at disengaging from blockers, and even cover...oh...and he plays every snap like his hair's on fire! At worst, you get an inspirational core special teams guy!

So I think they have realized this kid is most likely getting drafted and with all the attention at the Senior Bowl...and Mayock calling them out on it every day for a week...what's one more invite?

Now If you wanted to talk about shedding blocks that would be a different story. But no one ever talks about someone’s hands when referring to tackling ability.

All that being said, I wouldn’t draft this guy. Sign him as a UDFA but wouldn’t spend a pick on him.

 

Wrapping up could be harder... facemask would be almost impossible to call on him.

No you hit them with your body and wrap up with your arms.

If you are trying to tackle someone with your hands you aren’t going to be a very good tackler.
