Several Titans to sit out game vs. Cardinals

    Safety Jordan Babineaux (shoulder) returned to practice on Tuesday, but will be a game-time decision Thursday against the Cardinals, coach Mike Munchak said. Babineaux did not play against the Buccaneers last week.

    Defensive end Dave Ball (concussion) has been ruled out, along with cornerback Terrence Wheatley (hamstring) and offensive lineman Mike Otto (hand).

    Munchak said tight end Brandon Barden (hamstring) has a chance to play for the first time this preseason, but the former Vanderbilt player hasn’t participated in team periods since returning to practice this week.

    Linebacker Gerald McRath (knee) was placed on Injured Reserve.

    I like Dave he seems to play well whenever he can play, but he is always hurt. He has had so many concussions I think he needs to call it quits. I don't see how he could make the roster.

    I too could see Ball being cut. Casey, Marks, Klug, Martin, Clayton, Douzable, Wimbley, Morgan & Egboh being are 9 DL.

    i see it this way too. man we need a DE next year. unless Morgan blows up and the solomon(sp?) kid pans out, DE becomes a huge need along with interior OL
