Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky The Jaguars are down two Jones in two days.

Tuesday they got official word that receiver Matt Jones is suspended for the final three games of the regular season after a failed appeal of a suspension for a violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

Wednesday they announced that fullback Greg Jones has been placed on IR with an ankle injury. Jacksonville's run game is just 17th in the NFL. The team lost three of its top six offensive lineman right to season-ending injuries right out of the gate. Jones is a solid player with a running back's sense of run plays.

The Jaguars are likely to lean on back up Montell Owens, an excellent special teamer, and could also go more with two tight ends.

With the roster spots the Jaguars signed defensive tackle Attiyah Ellison off of the San Francisco 49ers practice squad and promoted rookie cornerback Isaiah Gardner from their own practice squad.
