I don't know about a first, but he'd defenitely be an upgrade. Two teams are said to have already contacted the Jets about him.....Ruston's got this.

there are more players than just Warmack for the o line. I'd be willing to give a first because our first kinda sucks and there really isn't that much talent for us to pick from and we could easily be looking at second tier guys quick.

This trade has zero barring on the fact that we need o line... This shouldn't change any FA actions on trying to secure a top lineman and drafting one in the first 2/3 rounds.

Whoever trades for him needs to either accept that they are getting a 1-year rental or be willing to pay him some ridiculous contract for the long term (think Mario Williams money).

He has already held out twice (including 2 years after getting a brand new contract), his contract prohibits the Jets from using the Franchise tag on him and after the 2013 season he will be an UFA.

He is without doubt the best CB in the NFL and we have a huge need, but there is no way we are paying him the money he wants. I think you'll see someone trade for him for a lot less than you expect.

we would be safer keeping our first round pick and getting a guy that would stay with us atleast for a couple of years. A 1 year rental is likely and i doubt Revis would have any intentions of staying with us especially when we arent a contender. He is getting older and will be looking for a championship.

No. He is getting older and is looking for another big pay day. So long as he keeps getting his advice from Sean Gilbert, Revis is only going to be focused on one thing, and that's money.

Now a contender may be more willing to give into his contract demands if they think he will tip them over the edge, but if the Kansas City Chiefs offered him the biggest payday tomorrow, all you would hear about is how great an opportunity it is to work with Andy Reid.

Revis doesn't fit Gray's scheme. Revis doesn't play 10 yards off the line of scrimmage.

A couple broken blocking sleds maybe. Does not fill a major need, coming off a major injury and it is a bad sign that the Jets want to get rid of him considering how important he is supposed to be to them.

    Just picture:

    1st for Darelle Revis
    2nd on Barrett Jones
    3rd on a safety, Baccarri Rambo/Phillip Thomas?

    Sign Andy Levitre, resign Velasco.

Our offensive line is now set. Our secondary is improved a ton. Still no depth at DE/LB or a gamechanging DT (although Casey can be that guy).
