Result in San Diego shouldn't diminish Manning's regular season

    Seems like a few here have a bigger man crush on kurt warner.


    Gloat thinks that manning doesn't deserve the MVP because his team lost but he is sky high over pennington, turner, brees, peterson winning it. :rolleyes:

    No single player really stood out this year - especially in the typical MVP positions. It was a bit of a year for defenses, with Titans, Ravens, Steelers and Giants generally winning with good D. Total 180 from last year and the fake-kneel-down-at-the-end-of-the-game-to-pad-the-stats-Patriots.

    In that case I think guys like Haynesworth, Finnegan, Reed, Lewis, Polamolu, Harrison, or Jacobs honestly deserve it. Even Eli Manning... very tough for a SB winner to have the season they've had, and he's lead a great follow-up season for the Giants. These are the guys that are the driving force of their teams, and whoever wins the Super Bowl it will most likely be due to the play of one of those names. That's my definition of an MVP, even if it's not conventional.
