Today in the first half of our game against the Giants Vince Young attempted 4 passes and Chris Johnson carried the ball 20 times. I'm no head coach, but it is clear to me that without better balance out of our play calling we will have a very hard time succeeding. When you line up on defense knowing theres an 80% chance that we run, it's not hard to stop the run. Regardless of who our RB is or what our offensive line does, it's impossible to beat an NFL defense running into the teeth of run blitzes every down.

Jeff needs to remove the leash he has on Vinces arm and let the guy throw. The same thing was evident last week against Pittsburgh. Though we had a very good game today, 32 carries is way too many for CJ to have. Lets try throwing the ball and mixing in Ringer a little more. When they stack 8, throw it over their heads, make them back up, then pound it at em with CJ.

Fisher just doesn't know what he's doing with the current offense.

He doesn't want to throw the ball because he's scared of Vince.

He wants to run the ball every down with a back that's only effective with open field.

He's needs a Bradshaw type RB for what he wants to do. He's clueless with CJ.

At the end of a game like this you look at the scoreboard and think, "We scored how many points?!"

I don't know how we managed to score almost 30 points, but amazingly we did.

He was so tired by the end of the 3rd. His long run seemed more like a jog after he got around the edge. Let alone those short ones later on. I think we need to keep ringer more involved early in the game and let CJ turn it on against a tired defense. It's no secret people are gaming for only him. It was clear when ringer had come in and no one even gave him a glance, consequently he had a nice gain. But dang CJ is going to need a few games like he had on the texans last year to get near the 2k mark again! :grrhee:

I was thinking the same thing all game. Everyone is saying Titans OL is slacking that Mawae is gone, which is probably a little true. But with the D focusing on CJ EVERY play knowing that VY won't throw, CJ can't get anything going. VY should be throwing the ball 20-25 times a game.

Fisher is not calling the plays! It's Dinger... I am in agreement that we need to mix in some more passes. Anybody think we need to move CJ around? Put in the slot, at reciever, we need to move him to create a bigger threat.

CJ should be in every play because the Defense is gaming for him. That should open up the whole offense for everyone else. All coaches like to say I'm going right, and go left. That's football in a nutshell. You take CJ out and you eliminate the deception available and put the focus on VY. It's better to have the focus on CJ and let VY throw it. Plus, I would want my best players to get more not less touches. So I would not put Ringer in. I do agree that in the 4th he can burn, but he can do that regardless of his number of touches as he proved today. Dude got 120 plus today. And he opened up the pass options too.

Let the coaches do their jobs! We win by 19 and you guys are still b*tching. It's obvious to those who understand football the first half was about the Titans imposing their will. The 2nd half was all setup by the 1st half play calling. It's a lot easier to throw when the defense is expecting run after run. Taking a knee at the end of the half shows the Titans had a plan and wasn't concerned with only scoring 10 points.

Dinger calls plays from Fisher's 10 play playbook.

I guess when the EXACT same offense was here- it was Norm Chow that was calling all the shots, huh?
