---- just so noone gets the wrong idea here -----

there is NO performance benefit in having a 65nm over the 90nm chipset

the main difference is the heat generated within the core
reports have stated that Falcon units run quieter

also, it is CHEAPER to produce units with 65nm chips, and rumor has it that they will eventually enable lowering the cost of the console

LOL just my luck....mine is Lot 733

No matter, I'll expect an improved unit if this one ever craps out.

you'll be fine with that unit
as long as you don't stand it vertically on carpet or have it sitting on top of your 500watt Onkyo and underneath your Comcast cable box you shouldn't have any heating issue

I've strategically set it up where I think it'll get the most ventilation. It's actually sitting on top of my old Gamecube  Sounds silly, but it's like a lil stand for the 360 to have all it's vents open open and clear.

    that's a little overkill Bobo
there's no critical venting on the bottom

    poor Gamcube
man, ours gets used about 2-3 days a week (kids)

Nah don't think of it as "poor Gamecube". Think of it as the lil system still being useful

I've heard to not put the 360 on carpet, so it's not this way.

Carpet is not the ideal surface
wouldn't figure a Gamecube would be either :ha:
a glass/wooden shelf is more like it

It's also about space right now. I'll probably get some kinda entertainment center that'll make things look a little less crappy
