I don't think drops are a good barometer for quality at a position at all. TO led the league in drops last year, and I would take him (minus the attitude) in a second, because he drops balls, but he also catches a lot that our receivers wouldn't even touches, and catches TDs that our WRs would turn into picks. Randy Moss is the same way--he might drop more balls that Roydell Williams, but he also turns balls our guys wouldn't get to into TDs.

Plus, to whoever used the Colts WR's drops as proof that ours are good is ignorant--is there a chance in the world that we could get Reggie Wayne for Justin Gage? No-because Wayne, Harrison, etc. make plays, and our guys are maybe adequate at best.

Our starters are all rejects from non-playoff teams. There is no question we need an upgrade and anyone who states otherwise is only looking for an opportunity to take a shot at Vince.

It seems that every time our passing game gets brought up for discussion, it's the same result. There is the group that has a very fuzzy view only seeing what they want to see. And, then there is the group that has the ability to criticize the team with an unbiased eye, even though they want the team to win just as much as the other guys.

It's very odd to see people argue that "those stats can't be right, I judge what I see with my own eyes!" I honestly laughed outloud when I read that. Do you honestly think the guys that report these stats have any interest in Vince Young or his receivers? So many can not accept the fact that Vince Young is a far below average quarterback. Can he improve? Absolutely, and I sure hope he does, or else it will be a very long decade as a Titans fan.

To try to blame the WR's for Vince's bad play is another cop out for the Vince lovers. I agree that they could be better. And for us to be a serious contender we MUST have at least one go-to guy (ie, Giants = below average offense without Plaxico). But, Vince is by far one of the worst THROWING QB's in the league.

Rolltide simply stated a statistical fact, and like clockwork, the Vince party flies in trying to DENY statistical FACTS.

I am curious to determine their methodology. I imagine it is subjective, so they are not really a "stat".

Again though, drops are not a good barometer for WR quality--you never answered that charge before criticizing the fan base.

"Any incomplete pass which was catchable with normal effort. STATS compares and reviews the judgement of multiple reporters to determine if a pass was dropped."

i'd like to know what they consider "normal effort"
