Wow. This is my first post on this message board, and so far this thread is real nice. I have been using other Titans message boards until today. I am impressed by posters comments. Now getting to business; I certainly liked the video on Frantz Joseph out of Florida Atlantic. The only issue I have with his scouting report video (above) is that he is going against his own team in a practice. I would like to see him have some better competition before saying he is a Pro Bowler. I know there are quality players outside of the big name programs, but before anyone else is sold on him I'm sure they'd be asking the same. Tennessee could certainly add better depth to the inside linebacker position with this guy. Frantz Joseph appears to be the next Ray Lewis coming from the state of Florida. I like what I saw so far, but hopefully the name of school he went to has him fall to the Titans later.

I agree, and hey, welcome to the board. Joseph is the kind of guy the Titans love to take in the 4th round.

"A transfer from Boston College, "Viva la" Frantz Joseph recorded 141 tackles and 9.5 TFL as a senior." Walterfootball has him projected as a 6th rounder.

Quan Cosby, from Gil Brandt at NFL.com

"Also noteworthy were the performances by WR Quan Cosby (5-9, 198 pounds) and RB Chris Ogbonnaya (5-11 7/8, 220 pounds), who both looked very good catching the ball from former Iowa and current CFL QB Drew Tait.

Ogbonnaya stood on his numbers from the combine, while Cosby posted a 34.5-inch vertical jump a 4.34 short shuttle, 28 bench press reps and stood on the rest of his numbers from the combine. Cosby is really smart. I had an opportunity to talk to him about the last drive vs. Ohio State in this year’s Fiesta Bowl. He was able to tell me the exact defenses that Ohio State used on that drive and how he adjusted his routes. Very impressive."

"Rutgers’ top prospect, WR Kenny Britt (6-3 1/4, 210) has already worked out for the Dolphins and has other workouts scheduled with the Ravens, Giants, Bengals, Vikings and Jets. On Monday he and 11 other Rutgers prospects showed off their skills indoors on FieldTurf in front of representatives from 27 teams, including Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner.

Britt did positional workouts and ran a 4.48 and 4.47 times in the 40-yard dash.

    TE Kevin Brock (6-5 1/2, 255) ran a 4.64 and 4.67 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.28 short shuttle and a 6.81 in the three-cone drill. Brock also recorded a 34-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot, 11-inch broad jump and 23 bench press reps.

S Courtney Green posted a 9-foot, 11-inch broad jump and stood on the rest of his numbers from the combine.

    DB Jason McCourty (5-11 7/8, 193) ran a 4.30 and 4.34 40-yard dash, a 4.28 short shuttle and a 6.76 three-cone drill. McCourty also posted a 36.5-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, 5-inch broad jump and 15 bench press lifts.

WR Tiquan Underwood (6-1 1/4, 178) ran a 4.36 and 4.40 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.16 in the short shuttle and stood on the rest of his numbers from the combine.

**Underwood fell off this year, but last, IIRC, he had over 1100 and 7 TDs - GL **

    DE/LB Jamaal Westerman (6-2 1/8, 257) ran a 4.81 and 4.78 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.38 short shuttle and a 7.03-three-cone drill. Westerman also posted 20 bench press reps.

    QB Mike Teel (6-3 1/8, 225) ran a 5.17 and 5.13 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.59 short shuttle and 7.69 three-cone drill. Teel also posted a 28.5-inch vertical jump and 8-foot, 8-inch broad jump."

    Thought I posted these already:

    http://blogs.nfl.com/category/pro-days/page/2/

"Cal Poly’s headliner was WR Ramses Barden. The lanky wideout (6-6 1/4, 227 pounds) ran the 40 in 4.51 and 4.55 seconds and had a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump and a 7.10 three-cone drill.
Barden caught the ball very well, with his college QB Jonathan Dally throwing passes to him.

(Note: For more about Barden, check out Thomas George’s player profile.)

San Jose State DE Jarron Gilbert worked out with a special guest in attendance — his father Daren Gilbert, who started 11 games as an offensive tackle during his four-year career with the New Orleans Saints from 1985-88. Jarron (6-5 1/8, 284 pounds), one of 11 San Jose State players who worked out, turned in times of 4.80 and 4.86 in the 40 with a 37-inch vertical. He did the short shuttle in 4.40 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.59 seconds, though he did not participate in the bench press.

Here are other notables that participated at the San Jose State Pro Day:

CB Christopher Owens (5-9 7/8, 177 pounds) looked very good in positional drills and had times of 4.44 and 4.44 in the 40. He had a 35-inch vertical leap and a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump, but otherwise stood on his numbers from the combine.

CB Coye Francies (6-0 3/8, 181 pounds) ran the 40 in times of 4.63 and 4.66 seconds. He had a 4.21 short shuttle, but kept the rest of his numbers from the combine. (Note: For more on Francies, check out Thomas George’s profile.)

WR David Richmond (6-1 3/8, 197 pounds) turned in 40 times of 4.51 and 4.54 with a 9-foot, 10-inch broad jump and times of 4.33 in the short shuttle and 7.30 in the three-cone drill. He had 11 repetitions on the bench press at 225 pounds.

DE Jeff Schweiger (6-4, 275 pounds) ran a 40 time of 4.72 seconds, but didn’t run it a second time due to a pulled hamstring during the first attempt. He had a 35 1/2-inch vertical leap with a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump and a 4.58 short shuttle. He put up 25 reps on the bench press.

DL John Faletoese (6-2, 286 pounds) was one of four UC-Davis players to work out. He had times of 5.10 and 5.08 in the 40 with a 30-inch vertical and a 9-foot, 3-inch broad jump. He had times of 4.44 in the short shuttle and 7.81 in the three-cone drill with 18 reps on the bench."

Interesting to note Owens is getting more attention than Francies now. Charlie Casserly brought him up on NFLN yesterday.

Oh, and regarding Gilbert. We've got Jones, and other DTs of similar weight, but only Jones is 6'5, and only Jones is faster. These two guys together would be perhaps the only pair of 6'5" 4.7x-4.8x DTs in the league. If you don't believe me, look at what a typical DT 40 time is. And again, Gilbert has nice production, despite his level of competition.

Michigan St, Javon Ringer, RB and DE Brandon Long:

    http://blogs.nfl.com/category/pro-days/

"RB Javon Ringer (5-9 1/2, 203 pounds) and DE/LB Brandon Long (6-2 3/4, 254 pounds) turned in impressive showings at the Michigan State Pro Day on March 18.

The workout, which was attended by 35 NFL personnel men representing 24 teams to watch 14 players, was done indoors on FieldTurf. There were two running back coaches, two defensive backfield coaches and other position coaches in attendance. Scouts and personnel men were happy to be treated to a big breakfast at the event, which began at 11 a.m.

Ringer turned in one of the fastest times ever in the short-shuttle drill, doing it in 3.89 seconds. By comparison, the best time by a running back at the NFL combine was 4.08 seconds by Branden Ore of West Liberty State and Bernard Scott of Abilene Christian. The top short shuttle by any player at the combine was 3.96 seconds by Kevin Barnes of Maryland. Ringer ran a 4.11 at the combine.

Aside from the blazing short-shuttle time, Ringer ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 and 4.51 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.66 seconds. He stood on the rest of his numbers from the combine.

But Ringer might have been outdone by Long, who was the talk of the pro day. He posted 40 times of 4.61 and 4.63 seconds and had a 10-foot, 9-inch broad jump and a 37 1/2-inch vertical leap — all of which would’ve ranked near the top at the combine. He also had a 4.37 time in the short shuttle and a 6.88 in the three-cone drill, with 32 reps on the bench press."

    "New Mexico State

CB Vince Butler (5-9 3/4, 186 pounds) looked strong at New Mexico State’s pro day, which was held on March 11, with 12 players working out for representatives from five NFL teams.

Butler, who will work out for the Cowboys on April 13, had times of 4.46 and 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash, a 34 1/2-inch vertical and a 10-foot, 7-inch broad jump. He also had a 4.05-second short shuttle and a 6.76-second three-cone drill, and he did 14 repetitions on the bench press."

    "William & Mary
The pro day for William & Mary took place on March 23, with two players working out for representatives from four NFL teams.

CB Derek Cox (6-1 1/4, 188 pounds) got a strong look, and he’ll work out with the Raiders and Patriots next week. He had times of 4.39 and 4.42 seconds in the 40-yard dash, a 36 1/2-inch vertical and an 11-foot, 8-inch broad jump. He also had a 4.11-second short shuttle and a 6.80-second three-cone drill, and he did 12 reps on the bench press."
