    Webster said the Chargers are not one of several teams calling them about the number 2 pick.

    This is basically what I gather so far from Webster/Whiz:

    We like Zach but he needs to improve

    Translation: We are looking to upgrade

    We have been receiving calls for trade ... but we like pick #2. Not a lot of 1st round talent.

    Translation: No one has offered enough to move from #2 yet ... we don't want to trade out of the top half of the draft (Eagles/SD)

    We think that both Mariota and Winston are franchise QBs

    Translation: We will take a QB at 2.


    Strength of draft is OLB, WR, OL

    Translation: Look for those in later rounds

    Zach will be in the plans moving forward

    translation: backup
