    Me either.
Because he wasn't our best DT when Tony Brown was in.

Does anybody have an example of cornerback who successfully moved to safety? This idea has been thrown around for a while (and in Finnegan's case for years), but I just don't think it is that simple. I think you are going to find that this move has a very low success rate.

As somebody said before, this isn't Madden.

Good thing about this years safety is there's alot of options.

    cheap available safeties:
Hamza Abdullah, Tom Zbikowski, Brandon Meriweather, Craig Steltz, Reggie Nelson, Gibril Wilson, Abram Elam, Chris Harris, Erik Coleman, Courtney Greene, Tyrell Johnson, Jim Leonhard, Steve Gregory, Atari Bigby, Madieu Williams, and of course Jordan Babineaux.

    more expensive available safeties:
Dashon Goldson, Tyvon Branch, LaRon Landry, Michael Griffin, and Thomas DeCoud.

    draftable safeties:
Mark Barron, Antonio Allen, Harrison Smith, Duke Ihenacho, George Iloka, Markelle Martin, and Aaron Henry.

Now we just need two/three of them :) I'd like Babineaux & Zbikowski and Markelle Martin in the 3rd.

    Antrel Rolle?
    Malcolm Jenkins?

Pretty sure both played CB in college, and switched to S in NFL... but I can't think of any who played primarily CB in the NFL then switched later in their career.

Ronnie Lott CB gone Safety! Bam I win, game over.

Here's some more position changes that have worked out.
Troy Brown went from WR to CB.
Mike Griffin went from CB to FS.
    Antrel Rolle CB to FS.
    Devin Hester CB to WR.
    Mario Williams DE to LB.
    Brian Orakpo DE to LB.
    Jason Taylor DE to LB.
    Bruce Matthews played C, G, and T.
College QB's turn NFL WR's all the time. Matt Jones, Antwan Randel-el are just 2 names.

Rod Woodson switched from CB to safety and certainly did just fine with the move.

Finny was a safety in college and has plenty of experience playing zone schemes in the pros. He would have no problem playing safety. I invision him being moved all over the place just like Polamalu.

I still think that Casey Hayward would make a good FS as well. Trumaine Johnson from Montana is another guy I think could do it.
