Tanny was soooo bad last preseason, his time has run out IMO

 

Seriously, he benefited hugely from Mike Leach's pass heavy offensive. ESPN so stupid trying to compare him to Tom just because he was drafted 199? Smh

 

At 199 he’s a great pick. I don’t have crazy high expectation. If he pans out, win win. If he doesn’t, who cares. Most 6th rounders don’t anyways. Cheers!

You’re realistically hoping your $2 turns into $6. Hopefully he becomes a competent backup, shows enough in preseason, mop up duty, etc. to eventually flip him for more than we paid for him.

And hell. There’s always the chance, however slim, that you hit the powerball. Marcus goes down, this guy takes the job and never looks back. I’m sure the thread in the pats forum when Brady was drafted were pretty much, “who? Meh. Why didn’t we take (insert current used car salesman here).”

Agree with this...right now IMO his upside is as Mariota's backup, and with Mariota's injury history, his best case upside is, in a couple of years, to get a chance for a 2-3 game stint to show out, resulting in him getting some sort of deal with another QB needy team.

Falk comes out the Pac-12 with a good career and a few impressive highlights:

Mariota comes out of the Pac-12 with a legendary career and a heisman trophy:
