    Really you can't?

What did Steve McNair ever do years 1-3? What Did Steve Young do years 1-3? Most peoples problem is they want instant success. Sometimes you have to pay your dues. Jake Locker is every bit as good as Steve McNair and Steve Young were going into their 19th starts like Locker is about to do this year.

Injury history and performance us the difference. Jesus- you got it bad for Locker. Let me say it again- we ALL want Locker to impress us. The reality is that we are seeing what we always have seen from him, including college. The likelihood we see anything different is small.

Why would/should any rational fan expect him to 1) have a miraculous recovery from a very serious injury and be the mobile "dual-threat" QB we drafted him to be 2) suddenly become durable and 3) suddenly become a very accurate passer ?

It is what is. Whis and Webster are playing this the right way IMO. HE gets one more chance. And he has to demonstrate a near heroic performance tohave a chance to stick after this year. Take your beef up with the FO. They are the ones making moves to refill our QB position.

People said the same about Matt Stafford. But now look at him. He has not missed a start in three years.

I dont have it bad for anyone. I simply know the land a little, enough that Im conformable giving a guy with every measurable you want another year.Im all for bolstering the QB position with another guy, but as I keep having to say, show me somebody better and I'll shut up.

Let's hope locker delivers the way Stafford did. Whis and Webster are positioning us either way just in case.

Again- I don't think we are disagreeing except that you appear to have more confidence than most that we'll see something different out of Locker next year.

At least youre willing to recognize he's capable if healthy, most the anti Locker fans say he's a bust for no reason other than his 8-10 record as a starter. Matt Stafford and Steve Young were both much worse than Locker their first 18 starts.

Im just trying to show people the sky is not falling just because Locker's hit adversity early in his career. There is still time for Locker.

I mean yea ideally we never have to arrive at this juncture, ideally he takes over for Hass in 2012 and never looks back, but it is what it is.

Stafford throws a hell of a lot better then Locker. Even coming out of college. He also does not scramble as much as jake does, because he has the ability to throw lol

My problem with Jake is he doesn't have the accuracy to make nfl throws and take over games with his arm. It also seems like he doesn't know how to read defenses. Looks lost at times.

I won't disagree, but that's not saying much.
