PFT: Gregg Williams to the Jags

Williams wasn't going to take a lesser position, under Schwartz.

And, who cares? As long as we have Haynesworth we will be fine (that seems to be the logic around here)

 

We didnt need him to take a position under schwartz. We needed him to replace schwartz.
And haynesworth isn't in a contract year next season, so we're screwed.

The biggest defense's I've heard by Schwartz supporters are...

1) When we sucked it was because of talent.

2) No DC would be able to do well missing the D's number 1 player. (AH)


Needless to say, I disagree with both of these. But, clearly Schwartz wasn't able to do even decent without AH last year.

I don't want to consider the 4 or so games AH won't play next season because of injury or whatever automatic losses. So I really believe the top offseason priority ought to be brining in 2 DTs, one through FA and one as an early draft pick.

 

I would be rally happy with your idea getting two big defensive tackles would help us a lot, one in free agency and the other in the second round.
This combined with keeping AH, Odom and Pac would make us a great defense, and look at the Super Bowl defense makes champions.
