Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I like this style either, but it is what it is with Bud here. He is 90 years old, and has been this way his whole life with the Oilers (maybe earlier examples, but the first one I remember is Warren Moon).

Agree on the double standard...how quickly we love Bud when he is getting the UT favorite son LOL...part of why this is entertaining to me.

 

Jake passed up $60M by going back to school in 2010, he doesn't care about the money how most players do. Hell, he goes fishing and lifts weights for fun, and those are real cheap hobbies. And even better for us if we don't know what his value is in 3 years, we'll be able to get him back at a huge bargain.

It could go both ways for Jake, Toronto. He can become a starter in year 4, rip ish up and have a TON of leverage in negotiating his second contract.

 

This makes me feel a little better about the possibility of Manning coming in.

 

It's not win-win for Locker if Manning starts for 3 years. Everyone keeps conveniently forgetting about that.

 

It's not automatically lose-lose either.

That's all I'm saying.
