Former Titan Peter Sirmon has been promoted to linebackers coach by Dooley. This is part of the fallout of Chuck Smith leaving the program. Rumor is that Smith and Justin Wilcox were not the best of friends...

they talked about him leaving this morning on 104.5. They said Smith didn't get along with any of the coaches.

Sirmon must not have had much success in real estate since he made a career change.

He can move up the ladder very quickly though. He worked as a graduate assistant both at Oregon and UT and he got his masters in sports management @ UT and was a linebacker coach in division 2. He is still just 33 so i can imagine him as an NFL defensive coordinator or in an NFL front office in 5-7 years.

I'm glad for him. I always liked him. The only play I ever remember him (not) making was a dropped interception that hit him directly in the hands. I was there live, maybe that's why it stands out. He was definitely best at OLB. When they moved him to middle, it did not suit him well.

That is one name I hadn't heard in a long time.

I wonder whatever happened to Brad Kassel.
He had a good season here, went to NYJ, then never heard from again

Or he made so much in real estate and padded his fortune from the NFL that he could take a pay cut and have fun coaching for a while.
