True, it's a team game, but there is such a thing as low morale. What VY is doing to this team's morale is the same thing that Delhomme did with the Panthers in their SB season: he simply makes them want to win, when before they were already consigned to being losers. Delhomme and VY did what the coaches couldn't do. These guys WANT to play for him.

You live and breathe football, and you live and breathe Titans football. You've seen all the changes this team has been through. I cannot understand why you, of all people, won't acknowlege this Vy's presence has made a huge impact. Nothing else changed...at least not enough to warrant such a turnaround.

No, VY doesn't play defense--but he can still make them want to win by stoking the offense. You can't have one without the other....you know that.

 

I've acknowledged VY in a whole lot of threads. I have praised him to no end in a whole lot of other threads. I defended him against the Cutler and Leinart lovers in other threads and other forums.

But I will not sit here and let him take ALL the praise for the turn around when ISN'T just him doing it.

I am a Titans fan and a lot more players deserve the praise just as much as Vince does.

 

:ha: @ all these kids who need to join the "Reading Is Fundamental" movement. Gunny is argueing that VY is part of the teams success and chemistry, not the SOLE reason. Why is that so difficult to comprehend. Now, it's obvious a few posters are just too immature to have a sound discussion without totally losing focus of the arguement, but it's obvious what his position is, and it's been stated more then a number of times. The fact is, more then a few of you have a really unhealthy and irrational attachment to a player that as great as he is, isn't the ONLY reason for a team's success. No player ever is, as much as people like to tout.

One would be an idiot to say that VY not only had a hand in making the team a success, but also a significant hand. Few will dispute that, and Gunny hasn't. But you'd also be a complete moron if you think he is the SOLE reason for it. And I see a bunch of you in here right now. End this silly *** discussion.
