I surprised that GB gave this guy a HC job after one mediocre season as a OC? Pretty risky move if you ask me.

I think La Fleur has potential but his first year was hit and miss. I think he would have gotten better next year with the offense having its second year in his system and him having more play calling experience.

I just didn't see enough out of him to justify such a big promotion. If our offense would have lit it up under him then I could see it but we didn't really improve much on offense under his first year. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I guess Aaron Rogers really is making all the decisions now.

Rodgers is just sick of working with incompetent people. Anyone would be after that long. He and LaFluer will probably be best friends.

Because he makes bad calls at critical times and tends to throw his weight around. He and Big Ben had it all...and they fired him!!!

    No thanks!

You remember that McCarthy turned a weak armed Aaron Rodgers into a HOF QB. Or did you mean incompetent at the GM level (isn't he still there) and on D?

You don't let an OC draft your QB!!! That's crazy...unless the OC is also your HC...which he won't be.

So let's follow your logic. We dump Mariota...for nothing...and the future in the next few drafts in hoping that we have a 50/50 shot at another QB?

Unless they know Mariota has nerve damage and it will end his career...they won't do that.

They need to do what the Colts did...invest in the OL and mostly run 2 types of schemes...a short passing game in which Mariota gets rid of the ball quickly...or go max protect with 8 blockers to take deep shots.

Mariota is a vastly better qb than his stats when he has time to throw (or gets rid of it quickly) instead of being under a ton of pressure and getting sacked all the time. QB hits (and sacks) tend to turn into QB injuries. But sure...give the 2nd to last OL a pass and just blame the QB!

Possible we could go get Zach Taylor...the Rams QB coach and promote him...then we'd keep the same offense.

And BTW, Henry was not running well for a good chunk of the season due to blocking issue and him trying to bounce everything outside. We actually went back to more power runs and his own determination that his career was on the line before he started having breakout games. Whoever the OC is should recognize that and blend in that power game with the toss and zone/stretch game.
