We've been trying to man-up Griffin on Gates since Griffin's rookie year, I don't know why.

As far as Witherspoon is concerned, he played well against Marcedes Lewis and Jason Witten.

Let's not jump off the edge of the cliff just yet... it's true, things must be corrected. But time of possession is killing the Def. Nevertheless, I like where we are. I'll take 5 and 3. Bye week came a the perfect time... Let's get healthy, make a few adjustments and finish strong in the second half!

I'll tell you what, I don' think it's a coincidence that when Schwartz leaves the defense goes in reverse. And I'll say one other thing, I'm getting really sick and tired of these stupid offsides penalties. If we don't lead the league in offsides, I'd be shocked.

The way we were letting Antonio Gates run free on nearly every third down was pathetic. That alone is the reason we lost this game. He should have been double teamed every play; our entire gameplan should have focused on taking him out of the game, especially on third downs. I don't know what they were thinking really, but oh well. 5-3 at the bye is better then I expected, and hopefully we can make the necessary adjustments and come out strong in two weeks.
