Opinions On Roster Scenarios Going Into Next Season

Johnny Manziel is the epitome of an excellent college football player (just like VY). Won at least one huge game for his school (a&m over bama) just like VY when he performed the comeback vs USC for the title. However, manziel is not going to be able to run around ANYWHERE CLOSE to how he does now in college. NFL defenses are so much more complex and every player is a stud. His size will hurt him or lack of, but the number one issue is his attitude. Who gives a **** if he's a smart player there's tons of smart players that suck look at VY he was dumb as a rock but somehow found ways to win games. Manziel is a baby. He's a pu ssy just watch his games. He hates being hit he complains every time he gets hit... I hope someone else takes him before we make the mistake cause Johnny football is gonna be humbled real quick in the league

 

God that QB FA class is grim after Cutler. I'd go after Jay or draft a Qb 2nd or 3rd round.
CJ should be cut. Time to move on. Too much $
Wright & Hunter are a WR core for the future. Nate won't be around long. Gotta find a #3
Walker is a long term TE

OL was disappointing but only Stewart should be replaced. New coaching staff will improve this unit.

Lots of ? on D.. Pitoitua & Morgan both FA. Hope we can keep both or at least Morgan. Wimbley needs to be cut. We need to find an impact player here

Casey is a long term DT and better be locked up next summer. Lee Hill has been a pretty big disappointment. Martin hasn't had the chance I hoped he would.

Hopefully Ayers & Brown bounce back well next year. Need to find a new MLB.

More ? in the secondary. Verner is hitting the open market at the worst possible time. I'm not sure Pollard will be back either. If we lose both, we are in big trouble.

I'm hoping under a competent coaching staff, the following will improve: Levitre, Warmack, Ayers & Brown. 4 important pieces going forward.

If we lose Morgan, Pitoitua, Verner & Pollard we are in BIG trouble.

I would say so Verner would be the bigest loss. We are a few players away from a good team if we can keep everyone we need. If they leave though we will have a tough jop replacing them and filling our current holes.

 

We need to keep Verner, his loss would be monumental, not so bothered if Pollard walks though.

 

franchise tags come in handy for players like these! Need to use it on him!

Well, I'd like to keep all of our GOOD players but I wouldn't break the bank. Pollard is a tougher loss because there will be few strong safeties available in free agency (assuming Ward is re-signed or tagged) and in the draft. Could be several good CB's available in fa and the draft and we have some good cb depth.

It's not so much losing this player or that player as long as they are replaced!!!

Buy before that, we'll have to see if this coaching staff stays or not. Guys like Pollard might want to know before they sign something longer term.

Bottom line FO has to do their job, and replace those we can't keep, cut those who are over payed, and scout the correct personal.
